EZT Newag EN79-001 = 45WE-014, Impuls.

The IMPULS series electric multiple unit, which was and is produced by NEWAG in Nowy Sącz, is one of the best Polish trains in Europe. The speed records set by the IMPULS EMU caused other countries in Europe to pay attention to Polish trains. Several foreign contracts were concluded. During operation, IMPULS vehicles turned out to be exceptionally efficient, comfortable, quiet and liked by passengers, and what is important, they are accessible to disabled passengers, families with small children and people with bicycles. On the night of February 18-19, 2013, during tests on the Central Railway Line, the 31WE vehicle set a speed record for a completely Polish vehicle of 211.6 km/h. On the night of August 28-29, 2015, this record was improved by the 45WE vehicle and amounts to 225.2 km/h.

MPULS for Koleje Małopolskie. SKA.

For the Lesser Poland Voivodeship, the first 4 "Impuls" EMU trains were delivered in September 2014. The trains have been carrying passengers since October 1, 2014. The vehicles were sent to serve routes from Kraków to: Tarnów, Rzeszów, Kielce and Katowice. Each of the "Impuls" trains received its own name: Galicja, Jagiełło, Krak, Podhalańczyk, Trzy Korony and Góral. The "Impuls" type 31WEa, 4-car train in Małopolska is marked EN78. After some time, two more trains of this type were acquired. The SKA designation stands for Fast Agglomeration Railway. The KMŁ designation stands for Koleje Małopolskie.

On March 30, 2016, a contract was signed for the supply of 8 ETZ type 31WE, 4-car and 5 ETZ type 45WE, 5-car, for the Marshal's Office of the Małopolska Voivodeship. The trains were ordered for the Fast Agglomeration Railway. In September 2016, the first two EMUs were delivered: 31WE-029 and 45WE-014. Then, more trains were delivered and from December 2016, they started carrying passengers. In February 2017, the last ordered ETZ was delivered.

EZT EN79 = 45WE.

NEWAG received its first order for a five-car EMU at the end of 2014. The company won the tender for the supply of 12 trains to Koleje Mazowieckie. 45WE vehicles met TSI requirements. Since the deadline for implementing the program was very short, NEWAG built series trains and simultaneously homologated the vehicles. When building the 31WE (four-car) vehicle, one more car was added and the train was marked 45WE-001. The tests were carried out on the test track at the Railway Institute in Żmigród. After the tests, the train was restored to the four-car 31WE system and delivered to a user in Pomerania. The first three 45WE trains were delivered to Koleje Mazowieckie by April 30, 2015. The first vehicle was numbered 45WE-002.

In the period 2016 - 2017, an order was completed for the Małopolska Voivodeship, including 8 31WE and 5 45WE vehicles. These trains are marked with the EN78 and EN79 series, respectively. The EN79-005 = 45WE-018 vehicle is the 100th "IMPULS" vehicle. It was handed over on February 24, 2017, at the Kraków Główny station. The vehicles were directed to service the Kraków Główny - Tarnów route and for some connections to: Nowy Sącz, Krynica and Jasło. Vehicles have also started serving the very popular route; Wieliczka Rynek Kopalnia - Kraków Główny - Kraków Balice Airport. From March 2018, trains were also directed to the Kraków Główny - Miechów - Kozłów route. The planned service of the Kraków Główny - Skawina - Podbory Skawińskie route began in 2021, after the modernization of Line No. 94 (Kraków Płaszów - Oświęcim). From 2023, trains run from Kraków Główny to Oświęcim. Małopolska 45WE = EN79 trains run mainly individually, but there were cases when they were combined with other NEWAG vehicles.

EZT EN79-001 = 45WE-014.

The EMU EN79-001 = 45WE-014 train belongs to a large family of "IMPULS" type vehicles that were and are manufactured in Nowy Sącz, at the NEWAG company. The train was produced in June 2016, ordered by the Marshal's Office of the Małopolska Voivodeship. It has been in operation since November 29, 2016.

The EMU EN79-001 = 45WE-014 train consists of five wagons. Detailed wagon markings; EVN: 94 51 2 140 739-5 (PL-KMAL A), EVN: 94 51 2 140 740-3 (PL-KMAL B), EVN: 94 51 2 140 741-1 (PL-KMAL C), EVN: 94 51 2 140 742-9 (PL-KMAL D), EVN: 94 51 2 140 743-7 (PL-KMAL E). The marking 45WE-014 should be considered as the factory number and the marking EN79-001 should be treated as the user marking.

On November 28, 2016, the train was registered with Koleje Małopolskie. In 2022, Koleje Małopolskie announced a tender for the provision of maintenance and repair services, including the supply of brand new spare parts and consumables, for EMUs type 31WE = EN78 and type 45WE = EN79. Among the trains was EMU EN79-001 = 45WE-014. P4 level repairs were carried out in the period from October 1, 2022 to September 30, 2023.

During its entire operation, the EMU train EN79-001 = 45WE-014 had the yellow-gray-blue KMŁ paint scheme. During the repair of level P4, the train's painting was renewed, but the same scheme was left. Inside the train, the seats are upholstered with gray fabric.
