Newag Impuls Electric Multiple Unit.

Newag Impuls is a family of EZT passenger (passenger) trains built by the Newag plant in Nowy Sącz. These trains are low-floor trains, because in the area of the entrance door, the floor in the wagon is only 0.76 m above the rail head.

The first EZT Impuls type 31WE (4-carriages) was built in 2013. Then the type 35WE (6-carriages), type 36WE (3-carriages), type 45WE (5-carriages) were developed. All these trains became one family called "Impuls". In addition to electrically powered trains, internal combustion trains were created for non-electrified routes. The propulsion is internal combustion engines (power generators) built in the form of an MTU block. In 2020, the "Hybryda" trains were also created. In Polish conditions, the hybrid drive is a double drive: electric from the overhead line, and when the route is not electrified, the train moves on a MTU block combustion engine.

By the end of 2018, 167 "Impuls" units were ordered, and by the end of 2020, 186 "Impuls" trains were ordered. By the end of 2021, over 250 "Impuls" trains had been ordered.

EZT EN79-004 = 45WE-017.

The train consists of five carriages. The train was produced in November 2016 at the request of the Marshal's Office of the Lesser Poland Voivodeship. It has been in operation since November 29, 2016.
