Jasło is a city in the south of Poland, in the Podkarpackie Voivodship, and is the capital of the Jasło County. Jasło received city rights in 1262, under Polish law. The city has an area of 36.52 km 2. The city has a large difference in elevation; from 225 m to 380 m above sea level. The population is 34,542 inhabitants (2020). The city office is located at Rynek 12, 38-200 Jasło.
Jasło is located in the foothills of the Low Beskids. This is where three rivers meet: Wisłoka, Ropa and Jasiołka. Jasło is historically located in the Krakow land in Lesser Poland. The name Jasło is of Slavic origin and comes from the name of the river flowing through the city.
Road transport.
Two national roads run through Jasło: No. 28 and No. 73, and a provincial road: No. 992. Road No. 28: Zator - Wadowice - Nowy Sącz - Gorlice - Biecz - Jasło (ring road) - Krosno - Sanok - Medyka. No. 73: Jasło - Pilzno - Tarnów - Dąbrowa Tarnowska - Kielce - Wiśniówka. No. 992: Jasło - Nowy Żmigród - State Border.

The airport in Jasło is a relatively new facility, having been opened in 2013. The initiator, owner and manager of the airport is the Jasło Aviation Association "IKAR".
The helipad has been planned as a multifunctional one. Currently (2023) the airport is still under development, and plans are slowly being implemented. The airport is listed in the register of airstrips of the Civil Aviation Office.

The distance to the city center is approximately 2.5 km. There are meadows right next to the airport. There is an industrial zone near the airport and there are several workplaces. For aviators, the greatest threat is the nearby drainage ditch and electrical networks. The high-voltage line is parallel to the RWY at a distance of 150 meters from the edge of the runway. There are tall trees more than 150 m from the airport, and a 62 m high chimney 700 m from the south. National road No. 28 runs near the airport. The airfield has a 300 m southern AGL traffic circle. Radio 123.450MHz. A telephone notification is required prior to arrival.

The railway station in Jasło is one of the main railway junctions in Podkarpacie. The railway line No. 108 Stróże - Krościenko runs through the station and the railway line No. 106 Jasło - Rzeszów exits. There are also passenger stops in Jasło: Jasło Fabryczna and Jasło Niegłowice.
The railway station in Jasło was opened in 1884. All railway routes are single-track. Jasło station has electric traction. To the west, there is an electric traction to the Stróże station. To the east, the lines are electrified only to the Jasło Towarowe station. The routes to Rzeszów and Zagórze are not electrified.
In 2002, Jasło, like many other railway stations, was deprived of passenger trains. Fortunately, on December 14, 2014, passenger trains returned to Jasło. The first were the trains from Jasło to Rzeszów. Long-distance trains are also back. These were PKP Intercity TLK "Monciak" trains, which is now called "Karpaty"; connections from Gdynia via Warsaw, Kraków, Rzeszów, Jasło to Zagórze. In 2017, trains from Kraków - Tranów - Grybów - Jasło were launched. The route was served by EMU "Impuls". In 2018, the route Jasło - Zagórz and Jasło - Rzeszów began to be operated by SKPL, commissioned by PKP InterCity.
In February 2023, you can travel from Jasło with 9 trains to: Kłodzko - 1 TLK "Wetlina" train. Kraków - 1 TLK "Bieszczady" train. Rzeszów - 5 PolRegio trains. Zagórz - 2 TLK "Bieszczady", "Wetlina". Trains on non-electrified routes are served by a diesel multiple unit SZT SN84 belonging to SKPL. Additional trains run during the holiday season. In 2019, the Jasło station served up to 150 passengers per year.
Railway line No. 106: Rzeszów - Jasło, length 69.251 km. The line is single track. The line is not electrified, except for two ends: Rzeszów Główny - Rzeszów Staroniwa and Jasło - Jasło Towarowe. Top speed 100 km/h. It is planned to build a connecting road between Jedlicze and Szebnie, which will make it possible to bypass Jasło and significantly shorten the Krosno-Rzeszów route.
Railway line No. 108 Stróże – Krościenko. The line is single-track and has a length of 160.489 km. The Stróże - Jasło section is electrified. The maximum speed is 100 km/h. The trail was opened in sections.
