It's only been 10 days since the crash. It's hard to accept what happened. The mourning and funerals of other victims continue. The investigative work will probably last for many more years. But it is difficult not to present the facts, comments and assessments collected so far. The entire article is subjective and you can disagree with it.

Day April 10, 2010.

On April 10, 2010, at 08:56 a Polish government plane Tu-154 M Lux nb 101 crashed at the Smolensk-Siewierenny airport just before the RWY threshold. There were 96 people on board (including the crew); with the President of the Republic of Poland, Professor Lech Kaczyński, his wife Maria Kaczyńska, the last President of the Second Republic of Poland, Ryszard Kaczorowski, and many wonderful Poles. They all went to Katyn to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Soviet Katyn massacre.

The flower of the national-Catholic-right wing of the Republic of Poland has died. It was a tragedy unprecedented on a global scale. Its political, social and economic consequences for the Republic of Poland were enormous. Poland will never again be like we thought it could look like.
