Due to the fact that Polish achievements in the field of radar are significant and on a global level, we will often refer to Polish radar equipment. Important note here; In the years of the Polish People's Republic, it was a strictly secret area and important for our state. Therefore, little information has reached the public. After social changes, we turned our interests to Western technology and technology, leaving Polish Radiolocation to itself. Example; In 2010, at the Radiolocation Open-Air Museum near Jelenia Góra, an engineer in his twenties, looking at the antenna of the Jawor-M2 radar, says seriously - "What an interesting carousel". When I give him a few facts, he opens his eyes in surprise and asks questioningly - “Here? In Poland?".

Description of the photo: The SON-9A artillery guidance radar has been produced in Poland since around 1958. It was used for the guidance and fire control of medium caliber anti-aircraft guns, for example; KS-12, KS-18.
