Kraków Prokocim railway station.

Geographic coordinates of 50.026N 19.997E.

The Kraków Prokocim passenger stop was established around 1965 to make it easier for the residents of the expanding Płaszów to get to the center of Kraków. There were two low single-edge platforms here. Two and three shelters with benches for travelers were set up on the platforms, respectively. There was lighting, sound system and information boards with the timetable. The pavement was made of typical concrete pavement tiles, 0.5 x 0.5 m in size. Access to the platforms was provided by long inclined pavements from Kosiarzy Street, and to Platform 1 (from the south) also from Karpacka Street. Kosiarzy Street runs under the viaduct with tracks. There were only two tracks across the stop. Importantly, until 2017, the tracks had wooden railway sleepers. Additionally, on the northern side of the station, they bypass the freight routes. In 2016, the passenger stop served up to 500 passengers a day.

The line No. 91 Kraków Główny - Medyka runs through the stop. In 1945, the line was No. 124 and in 1988, No. 121.

In 2017, the reconstruction of the Kraków Prokocim stop began. It was related to the revitalization of the E30 Route. A new track with three tracks was built in the vicinity of the Kraków Prokocim stop. The middle track is intended for long-distance passenger trains. The outer tracks are intended for agglomeration passenger trains. At the new stop, a new passenger tunnel was constructed, which was equipped with lifts for disabled passengers. The railway viaduct has been completely rebuilt and is now wider for cars and has a footpath. New access to the platforms has been made. The platforms have shelters, benches, rests, litter bins, showcases with railway information, and a sound system for railway announcements. The platforms have a modern anti-skid surface with a yellow safety line and paths for the blind and visually impaired. There is a ticket machine at the disposal of travelers.

There are two, one-edge, high-type platforms. The platforms are illuminated. Platform 1 is on the south side and Platform 2 is on the north side. The length of the platforms is 300 m. The width of the platforms is 4.5 m. As the track and platforms are placed on an embankment, the platforms are fenced.
