Holy Cross province.

The Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship is one of 16 voivodships in the Republic of Poland. The name of the province comes from the Roman Catholic religion, i.e. the name of Święty Krzyż. This area is the traditions of hermits, monks and monasteries. It is also the history of metallurgy and heavy industry. Currently, it is the famous Świętokrzyski National Park and the picturesque Świętokrzyskie Mountains. They are also charming towns and famous spas. The capital of the voivodeship is the neat and peaceful city of Kielce. Kielce is the largest fair and exhibition center in Poland, with the largest facility in Europe - Targi Kielce. The line is still used in the transport of goods. In 2022, the line was used to evacuate the population of Ukraine after it was attacked by bandit Russia led by Tsar Putin.

Passenger trains.

On January 1, 2001, regional railways, now known as PolRegio, were created. The purpose of the company was to take over the regional passenger traffic in Poland. The enterprise was established by a formal separation from the Polish State Railways. The company belongs to Agencja Rozwoju Przemysłu S.A. and local governments of all voivodeships. In 2008, as a result of the transfer of shares from PKP SA, local governments of all provinces became the owners of PKP PolRegio. Thus, the company left the PKP Group.

For many years, the PolRegio company has recorded a negative financial balance. The exception was 2007, when the profit was PLN 30.4 million. In 2016, PolRegio for the second time in its 15-year history recorded a positive financial result of +51.2 million PLN. Since then, the company has recorded steady profits. The PolRegio company has 15 regional plants. The Świętokrzyski Plant is based in Skarżysko-Kamienna.

The first vehicles in the colors of Koleje Świętokrzyskie were electric rail buses of the Pesa 308B type, EN81 series. The vehicles were manufactured by the Pesa plant in Bydgoszcz in 2005 and 2007. A total of 8 copies were produced. It was then that the logo of Koleje Świętokrzyskie "Baba Jaga" appeared with the inscription "Świętokrzyskie".

EMU Pesa "Elf" series EN96 = 34WE.

On October 5, 2011, at the PKP railway station in Kielce, a modern two-car EMU "Elf", produced by the PESA company from Bydgoszcz, was presented. In total, in 2011, PolRegio in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship received four trains of this type. The first two EZT trains type 34WE (EN96) "Elf" cost PLN 23,127,000.

EMU Pesa "Elf" series EN96 = 34WE is a low-floor, non-compartment, single-space, second-class train, intended entirely for non-smokers. The vehicle has one pair of doors in each car. The door opens automatically at the push of a button from outside or inside the vehicle. The door is locked automatically when the speed exceeds 5 km / h. The train is equipped with one toilet in a closed system for servicing disabled people and with a changing table for babies. The train has air conditioning, intercom for voice contact between the passenger and the driver, monitoring, fire detection system, sound equipment for passengers, places for transporting bicycles and prams.

An interesting fact in the new "Elf" trains is the introduction of two systems: AZP (Automatic Passenger Counting System) and ACJ (Automatic Driving Time Analysis System). The Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship was the first voivodeship in Poland to introduce the above systems into its rolling stock. The control system of both systems is located in the Marshal's Office in Kielce, and all data from the running vehicles on-line is sent to the server, where employees can observe the situation in the vehicles. The system is aimed at optimizing transport in the region and shaping the ticket price list.

Thanks to these trains, the voivodeship has increased its offer of railway connections for the inhabitants of Kielce, Skarżysko Kamienna and Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski. In 2012, the most expensive single train ticket cost PLN 12, on the Jędrzejów - Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski route.

EZT Newag "Impuls" series EN63A = 36WEa.

In October 2014, Koleje Świętokrzyskie received the first Newag "Impuls" train, type EN63A = 36WEa. The train is a 3-car train. By the end of 2014, a total of 3 copies had been delivered. In 2015, another 3 copies were delivered.

As in the case of the Pesa "Elf" trains, each car was equipped with only one pair of doors. This solution increases the number of seats in the car, but extends the time for passengers to take their seats in the train. In addition, the train has all the solutions and facilities used in Newag "Impuls" trains.

EZT Newag "Impuls" series ED78 = 31WE.

EZT Newag "Impuls" series ED78, bearing the factory designation 31WE, is one of the first, low-floor combined trains, created by the company Newag from Nowy Sącz. It was this vehicle that became the base for the entire family of trains, called "Impuls". The EMU ED78 is a 4-car combined train. The length of the vessel is 74.4 m and the weight is approximately 135 tons, depending on the model. The trains have two bogies located at both ends. The vehicles have four asynchronous motors with a power of 500 kW, controlled by inverters in the IGBT technology, enabling the vehicle to travel at an operating speed of 160 km / h.

At the end of 2018, two ED78-029 and ED78-030 trains were delivered to the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship. The vehicles were directed to serve passengers on the route Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski - Skarżysko Kamienna - Kielce - Kraków Główny.
