The railway line No. 273 runs through Chojna, connecting Wrocław with Szczecin - "Nadodrzanka". The route is electrified, double-tracked. In Chojna, a railway siding leading to the airport was led from the trail. The station in Chojna is used by about 1,000 passengers a day (2018). The Chojna station was opened on November 16, 1876. The station has never been a junction station. Only the sidings left the station.

In 1880, a station building was built at the station, typical of Prussian railways. Two-storey, with a partial basement, with a roof with a slight slope. Inside, there are ticket and luggage counters, a restaurant, a waiting room, service rooms and apartments for railway workers and their families. Toilets are located in a separate building. There was a shelter on the side of the tracks, half the length of the building. A brick water tower was built nearby. Next to the tower, a locomotive depot was built, which had three stations. The building is still used by PKP. Several warehouses have been erected at the station. To date, the control room building has been preserved, which serves as intended.

The station building was destroyed by the Soviets in 1945. In the 1950s, a small one-story station was built, which is still used today. In the central part, the building is elevated. The whole is covered with a flat roof. There are two ticket offices in the building open from 06:00 to 20:00. There was a period when the ticket office opened 30 minutes before the scheduled train. Inside there are toilets, benches for travelers, railway information. The station is closed at night. There is also a bus station at the station square.

In the period 2017 - 2018, the station was renovated. Renovated: the station building, platforms, tracks, electric traction. The station building has been renovated inside and out. Now the platforms are of the high type. Platform 1 is 150 m long and Platform 2 is 300 m long. New street furniture has been installed; benches, bus shelters, litter bins, lighting, railings. Architectural obstacles for wheelchair users have been removed. The surface of the platforms consists of 1 m wide concrete slabs that have yellow warning lines and button lines (warning for the visually impaired). There are also paths leading. The rest is paved with cobblestones. The track layout has been partially changed. Unused side tracks have been removed. Four tracks now run through the station; No. 1, 2, 3, 4. The historic water crane has been left.

Until now (2023), there is a railway siding to Polskie Zakłady Zbożowe - Grain Elevator in Chojna at Mikołaja Kopernika Street.

A railway siding to the airport was built around 1938. It was about 3,000 m long. At the airport, the siding ended at warehouses and a petrol station. There were several tracks that ended in trestles. After the Soviets moved to CCCP, the siding was used as a slope for unused passenger cars. Currently (2023) the wagons are no longer there. During the renovation of the station in 2017 - 2018, the turnout towards the airport was liquidated and the liquidation of the unused track was planned.

Currently, Chojna has passenger connections to: Szczecin, Gryfino, Kostrzyn, Rzepin, Zielona Góra, Wrocław, Katowice, Kraków. Most connections are operated by Przewozy Regionalne - PolRegio. Long-distance connections are mainly operated by InterCity. During the day, 25 trains leave the station (March 2023) and you can reach: Kostrzyn - 2 PolRegio trains. Kraków - 1 InterCity "Chełmoński" train. Lublin - 1 TLK "Wyczółkowski" train. Przemyśl - 1 InterCity "Matejko" train. Rzepin - 1 PolRegio train. Szczecin - 10 PolRegio trains, 2 InteCity trains.
