On August 23, 2023, we had the opportunity to participate in a sightseeing flight with a Cessna C-172 Skyhawk aircraft, registration SP-ANT "Kanarek". As a side note, we will mention that the SP-ANT registration used to be carried by the PZL An-2 TD aircraft No. 1G98-64. The Cessna C-172 aircraft was bought by the Aeroclub in Nowy Targ in July 2015. The aircraft was and is in very good technical condition.

Our flight lasted 60 minutes. The average flight speed was 190 km/h. The flight ceiling was about 1,200 m above the terrain. During this time, starting from the airport in Nowy Targ, we flew around the Tatra Mountains, also on the Slovak side. The weather was changeable, because there was sun, clouds and sometimes there was a stronger wind.

The Cessna C-172 Skyhawk is a four-seater, single-engine high-wing aircraft. It is a popular training and training aircraft. More Cessna C-172s have been produced than any other aircraft and are still in production.

Data T-T Cessna C-172:

Range 1,185 km. Length 8.28 m. Weight 757 kg. Cruising speed 226 km/h. Top speed 302 km/h. Continental O-300 engine, 145 hp or Continental IO-360D engine, 210 hp in the FR172J version. This second engine is mounted on the SP-ANT aircraft.
