History Tecnam P2008

The Tecnam P2008 is a single-engine, two-seater sports, tourist and school aircraft. It was designed for the US market. The aircraft is made of metal (wing) and composite fuselage). It made his first flight on September 30, 2008. It was demonstrated in the USA at the AERO Friedrichshafen 2009 exhibition, where it found several buyers.

Tecnam P2008 is built in a classic layout. The fuselage is made mainly of composite, and the wings are metal. Fixed, three-support chassis. The cockpit holds two people. The equipment of the aircraft depends on the customer and the certificate (LSA or ELA1).

The Tecnam P2008 is powered by a flat four-piston (boxer) Rotax 912ULS engine driving a propeller with two blades. Basic model with a 100 HP (75 kW) Rotax 912ULS engine. Another engine is a turbocharged Rotax 914 engine with 115 hp (86 kW) and a propeller with three blades. Tecnam P2008JC is a certified version according to the EASA CS-VLA principles. The aircraft is equipped with Garmin G3X digital avionics. Avionics Standard VFR, EFIS with two screens. Transponder with S, NAV / COM / GPS modem.

The basic Tecnam aircraft costs around US $ 55,000. Currently (2019), the company Construzioni Aeronautiche Tecnam offers a new version of Tecnam P-2008JC Mk.II.

In 2014, Tecnam P2008 aircraft were registered in Poland: SP-SORO (private), SP-WBI (Air-Res), SP-WBA (Air-Res).

In 2017, Tecnam P2008JC aircraft were purchased for the aviation school in Jasionka to train future pilots of PLL LOT. Four aircraft were purchased, with registrations SP-LFC, SP-LFD, SP-LFE, SP-LFF.
