SAAB / BAe Systems JAS 39 / Gripen 39. 1988

History

The JAS 39 / Gripen 39 is a commercially successful multi-role combat aircraft. The plane was used by several countries around the world. In 2003, the SAAB JAS 39 aircraft was offered to Poland when the Polish Army was looking for a replacement for the Mikojan and Guriewicz MiG-21 fighters. But in the SAAB JAS 39 competition it lost to the Lockheed Martin F-16.
