Ignacy Kasprzyk
Celebration of the 80th anniversary of the death of Ignacy Kasprzyk - Senior Military Foreman. Pilot of the PZL-37 A Łoś plane, which crashed on June 20, 1938.
This year, in June 2018, patriotic and religious celebrations were held for the third time related to the next anniversary of the tragic death of Ignacy Kasprzyk, who was buried at the parish cemetery in Płoki. We are currently celebrating the 80th anniversary of the air death of the crew of the PZL-37 A Łoś plane: pilot Stanisław Macek, mechanic Mieczysław Sioch and our hero Ignacy Kasprzyk.
The organizers were: the Historical Club in Płoki, the Parish of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Płoki, the Village Cultural Center in Płoki. The mayor of Trzebinia, Grzegorza Żuradzki, and the councilors of the city of Trzebinia honored the event with their presence. The initiator and strength of the entire project was Mrs. Beata Grylowska, head of the Historical Circle in Płoki.
The main celebrations took place on Sunday, June 17, 2018. The celebrations began at 11:00 a.m. with Holy Mass. concelebrated by the Custos of the Sanctuary, the parish priest, Canon Piotr Miszczyk, and Father Piotr Iwanek. After the Holy Mass, parish priest Piotr Miszczyk, accompanied by a delegation of the Polish Air Force (led by Major Andrzej Głownia), the mayor of Trzebinia Grzegorz Żuradzki, councilors, organizers and guests went to the cemetery. The most important guests gave short speeches at the grave. A delegation of the Polish Air Force laid a wreath at the grave of Ignacy Kasprzyk. Candles were lit and prayers were said.
Then, all those interested went to the local Cultural Center in Płoki. Here you could see a thematic exhibition related to the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Poland regaining independence. Guests were invited to a refreshment with coffee, tea and tasty cakes baked by local housewives. The following speakers took the floor: Mrs Beata Grylowska, Mayor Grzegorz Żuradzki.
The next point of the meeting was a musical performance by children who sang their own songs.
A lecture on the figure of Ignacy Kasprzyk, the PZL-37 Łoś aircraft and the Rakowice-Czyżyny and Okęcie airports (where Ignacy Kasprzyk worked and served) was given by Karol Placha. The speaker emphasized the novelty of the aircraft's design and its unique features. In several tasks he presented the professional and military career of Ignacy Kasprzyk. Places of his service. The speaker also introduced the so-called Krakow Three, pilots: Jerzy Bajan, Karol Pniak and Stanisław Macek. Ignacy Kasprzyk died with the latter.
At the end of the meeting, the Mayor loosely outlined the most important tasks that await implementation in the City and Commune of Trzebinia.
