In 1856, the railway route Krakow - Tarnów - Lviv was built. On January 1, 1951, the village of Słotwina was incorporated into Brzesko. The Brzesko Okocim railway station is located in the area of this town, and now an estate. The town of Słotwina was located 3 km from the center of Brzesko. When the railway line and the station were built, several farmers were displaced through the town of Słotwina. Historically, the station was called: Słotwina (from February 20, 1856), Słotwina Brzesko (from 1908), Brzesko Okocim (from December 1, 1951).

The railway line No. 91 Kraków Główny - Medyka runs through the railway station. The trains PolRegio (Przewozy Regionalne), Koleje Małopolskie and InterCity trains stop at the station. Near the station, there is the Church of Our Lady of Częstochowa in Brzesko - Słotwin.

A siding was led from the station to workplaces in Brzesko; to Okocim Brewery, can factory and other factories.

In the 1950s, the track system at the station was expanded. There were four main lanes and three side lanes. Two platforms were built; Platform 1 with a single edge and Platform 2 with a double edge. There were three unloading ramps with storage yards and warehouses. Also at that time, a footbridge was built over the tracks for travelers.

The first station was probably wooden. The next station was brick, two-story and representative. The station was destroyed during the Second World War. The rune of the building was suitable only for demolition. Another station was built at the turn of the 1950s and 1960s. The building was in a modernist style, partially two-story. In the period 2010 - 2012, the station was completely rebuilt and meets the current needs. The station building houses a ticket office, waiting room, post office, health center and modern toilets. The renovation of the building cost about PLN 3.7 million.

Next to the station building there is a ticket machine for railway tickets of the Małopolska Railways carrier. These tickets are honored on PolRegio trains.

In 2014, a general reconstruction of the Brzesko Okocim railway station was started. The reconstruction was related to the modernization of the E-30 railway route, railway line No. 91. The aim was to maintain a constant speed of an express train running at a speed of 160 km / h. Two 380 m long island-type platforms were built. An underground passage for passengers was built, while the footbridge over the tracks was eliminated. For freight trains, in the western head of the station, three parking tracks were built for trains up to 780 m long.

Train traffic is carried out from one control room "BO". In 2018, the station handled approximately 1,600 passengers a day. In 2021, the station handled approximately 1,900 passengers a day.
