History

The MiG-21 PF type 76 nb 0716 / No. 760716 aircraft was delivered to Poland in December 1964. This aircraft belonged to one of the first machines of this type in Poland. His transfer to the Polish Army took place in Krzesiny in the 62nd PLM. Then the machine was transferred to the 34th PLM in Babie Doły.

MiG-21 PF planes, equipped with the RP-21 radar station, guided RS-2 US missiles guided by a radar system, increased fuel supply and several other novelties constituted a completely new quality. Unlike the previous version of the MiG-21 F-13, they could already actually work day and night, in "all weather conditions".

After termination of service, the MiG-21 PF nb 0716 aircraft was set up as a monument in the regiment (end of Zielona Street in Babich Doły). It was probably around 1989.
