The Mi-8 is a twin-engine half-shell helicopter made of duralumin in the classic (Sikorski) configuration. The Mi-8 is a medium helicopter with a maximum take-off weight of up to 13,000 kg. Payload approx. 4,000 kg. The crew of 3 people (pilot, co-pilot, mechanic). It takes a maximum of 28 passengers on board, but there are cases with 32 passengers on board. The helicopter takes 20 fully equipped soldiers on board. The original certificate was issued for a maximum take-off weight of 12,000 kg, later it was increased to 13,000 kg.
