New exhibition in the back office building.

This is another article about the new exhibitions at the Polish Aviation Museum in Krakow. In this article, we described the new exhibition in the back room. This building has served various functions throughout its history.

In 2010, a temporary exhibition entitled "Aviation Archeology" was opened in the hangar of the 2nd Aviation Regiment. The small exhibition shows fragments of planes from the Second World War, which after many years were found in the so-called area. The exhibits included fragments of the Russian Yakovlev Yak-9 P and Ławocznik La-5 fighter planes, the Petlakov Pe-2 bomber, and the American Bell P-38 Airacobra fighter aircraft.

In the following years, military archeology, including aviation, developed significantly. Many enthusiasts, often with a large financial outlay, recover wrecks of military equipment, mainly from the Second World War. That is why the Polish Aviation Museum decided to organize a permanent exhibition in a separate building. The exhibition was called "Aviation Archeology". The exhibition is open, but is still under development.
